The new product launched may be good news for Apple, but, now, it seems users of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are experiencing issues with the Skype app crashing on startup. With multiple reports of the app crashing on startup, many newest iPhone users now has been suffering the trouble of Skype. The issue seems to be the result of a bug, possibly resulting from a lack of optimization for the new devices according to Neowin.

The latest iPhone of iPhones 8/8Plus from Apple on September 12 may not have been met with as much enthusiasm as expectation before like we predicted, anyway, most consumers does not like iPhones 8/8Plus as much as rumored, some or still waiting for the coming iPhone X with Face ID in November. However, iPhone 8/8 Plus still sold a large number of devices in last week since their launch last Friday.

However, many users said they won't be able to use Microsoft's Skype on the new iPhone, and as soon as they open it, the app crashes. Some users have complained the issue in Twitter to ask for fixing and feedback of Microsoft.

After learning of the issue from Twitter, Microsoft made a statement on Skype's official website, acknowledged the problem and promised to fix it:

We are aware of issues where users are unable to connect to Skype on the new iPhone8.

Our engineers are actively investigating the issue and we hope to resolve it as soon as possible.

Now it is be sure that Microsoft is working to fix the unknown bug in Skype, and the fixed version has been tested but has not been launched to the user.
